Tahini Mole Sauce
1 Tbsp canola oil
3 cloves of garlic that have been minced
1 Tbsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup tomato puree
½ cup vegetable broth (or chicken stock)
2 Tbsp lime juice
¾ cup Soom Chocolate Tahini
1 tsp salt
⅛ tsp black pepper
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp canola oil. Add 3 cloves of garlic that have been minced, 1 Tbsp chili powder, ½ tsp cumin, and ½ tsp cinnamon. Stir and toast until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add 1 cup tomato puree, ½ cup chicken broth, 2 Tbsp lime juice, ¾ cup chocolate tahini, 1 tsp salt and ⅛ tsp black pepper, stirring well to combine.
Turn heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add water until the desired consistency is reached.
