Directions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp canola oil. Add 3 cloves of garlic that have been minced, 1 Tbsp chili powder, ½ tsp cumin, and ½ tsp cinnamon. Stir and toast until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

2. Add 1 cup tomato puree, ½ cup chicken broth, 2 Tbsp lime juice, ¾ cup chocolate tahini, 1 tsp salt and ⅛ tsp black pepper, stirring well to combine.

3. Turn heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add water until the desired consistency is reached.
